Latimer 2021: our first summer
After a year’s wait, it happened. On 19 July, thirty-eight students stepped off the minibus and into the first Latimer Summer School.
It rained for the first three days. Nobody seemed to mind. We read the Apology and the Crito, argued about whether Antigone was right, walked the ridge in the mist and sang Tallis in the chapel. On the last night the sun finally came out, and we stayed up on the lawn far later than the timetable allowed.
Thank you to every student, tutor and volunteer who made our first summer what it was. We will not forget it.
